The IFComp2026 is well underway, with dozens of interactive fiction games of various forms available to play. I don't have an entry but I did help out with one in a minor way.
Play Wild Ride to Earth in your browserWild Ride to Earth is a sprawling and lighthearted scifi adventure where you are trying to find your way back to Earth after being abducted by aliens and dumped on a far distant space port. There is a huge amount of content tucked away in the corners of the game - several planets to explore and many ways to play.
The reviews have been enthusiastic about Wild Ride to Earth, praising the witty writing and imaginative setting. The competition is still going, if you really like the game you can log on and vote for it on the IFComp2026 ballot. While you are there, check out some of the other games - there are some really interesting works this year.
Of course, if you really like choice-based interactive fiction, my two games can be played right here: Voyage of the Marigold and That Sink.
